SENIOR IMPACT DIRECTOR - HOME

United Way of Central Ohio is seeking a Senior Impact Director to address issues related to vacant and abandoned housing and crime and safety concerns in five targeted Columbus neighborhoods.
This position facilitates and supports the development and implementation of comprehensive action plans for addressing UWCO community results and bold goals relative to reducing vacant and abandoned housing and reducing crime in five targeted Cols. neighborhoods. These responsibilities include facilitating and managing volunteer committees to create and execute strategies and tactics linked to a range of approaches -- programs/services, initiatives, advocacy, volunteerism, public policy, engagement and outreach, partnerships and collaborations.
REPORTS TO: UWCO Senior Vice President of Community Impact
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced degree in a related field preferred, along with 3 - 5 years of related human services experience. Ability to be self directed, analyze, manipulate, interpret and utilize data for decision making. Technical skills in budgeting, program planning and development and program evaluation preferred. Background in community development and/or affordable housing development is desirable, as is familiarity with Columbus neighborhoods, civic associations and other local grass roots organizations. Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations including neighborhood residents, volunteers, donors, government officials and UWCO staff at all levels. Experience in facilitating and managing volunteer decision making. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal along with the ability to present materials in a poised and confident manner. Demonstrated skills in, listening and synthesizing input from community members and the ability to build consensus. Evening and weekend work required. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, required. EOE.
