I have 16+ years’ experience in food safety, 8 of which were as a public health inspector. I had the opportunity to oversee global food safety auditing/inspection programs for several Fortune 500 companies and was instrumental in incorporating a food safety culture within the Columbus, Ohio Spanish speaking community under Mayor Coleman’s New Americans Initiative program. FAMAVI was created in January 2019 with the goal of helping small to medium size foodservice businesses incorporate a food safety culture within their establishment that will not only protect their guests, but the brand that they have worked so hard to develop. My main focus is helping Hispanic owned foodservice establishments and Hispanic foodservice workers.
I have been in business for 1.5 years
Helping the Hispanic community and building an excellent working relationship with clients and their employees.
Our challenges are usually set by our clients when they let us know their goals and expectations from us. For example, if a client is having difficulty implementing policies that ensure their team follows proper food safety procedures at all times, that becomes our challenge. Changing behavior and overcoming that challenge for our client.
A lot of people do not understand the full scale of services we offer. We are not only limited to food safety classes and audits/inspections. We assist with opening new foodservice operations, food trucks, writing HACCP Plans, Government regulations including acting as a liaison for between our clients and local health departments and marketing and social media.
Offer advice on a variety of areas from technical assistance to helping create business relationships and partnerships between corporate and public sectors and my business. Many business owners are also unaware of what the Chamber does ‘behind the scenes’. They monitor legislation, policies, and programs that affect the Hispanic business community and advocate for them on their behalf.
Be you, provide an honest service/product at a fair price and be passionate about you do.
I enjoy spending time at home, cooking, baking, spending time with friends & family and trying new restaurants throughout the city.
